GOOD TO KNOW
Simple answers to common
map-embedding questions.
Yes. EmbeddableMap is free to use, and you do not need an account or an API key to enter into this tool. The map itself is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s terms and availability.
Create your map and copy the embed code. In the WordPress block editor, add a Custom HTML block, paste the code, and preview your page. Some hosted plans or site permissions may restrict iframe embeds.
Choose Responsive width and the map will fill its parent container. The height stays at the pixel value you select. You can use the mobile preview to check the narrower layout before copying.
Yes. Select Directions and enter a starting point and destination. For Street View, enter latitude and longitude, then choose a camera direction. Imagery and route availability depend on Google Maps.
This generator supports a place, search results, a route, or Street View. It does not create a map with a custom list of pins. A search can show multiple relevant places, but those results are chosen by Google.
Paste the code into an HTML or Embed block, rather than a normal text block. Check whether your website plan allows iframes and whether its privacy or security settings block Google Maps. Preview the published page as well as the editor.
Loading a Google map connects the visitor’s browser to Google. Depending on your location and privacy requirements, your site may need to ask for consent before loading it. Add the map to your existing consent setup where appropriate.
